Dear Members, Benefactors, Clients, Supporters,
The Solemnity of our Patron, Saint Louis IX, Crusader King, this year is the fulfillment of the longing, prayers and aspirations of our founders and membership over these last 10 years of our existence, for it is on this day, that the Holy Father has chosen to grace our private association of the Faithful with the unheard of grace and honor of being raised to the Status of a Sovereign Catholic Military Order, something the Apostolic See has not done in more than six hundred years.
As you already know, Ordo Militaris Inc., our Montana civil Corporation, will celebrate its 10th anniversary of legal existence on August 27th. Our corporation was founded to be the legal means whereby our membership in the first ten years could practice the corporal works of mercy in accord with all local, national and international laws. As such, Ordo Militaris Inc. was ideated as a members service corporation having the form of a private military corporation. It would sell memberships, organize humanitarian fundraisers and sell books, collectibles, flags etc. to pay for all expenses surrounding that humanitarian aid, while laying the foundation of the Order’s growth in popularity and support.
With the Papal Bull, Maiorem hac dilectionem of August 25, 2026 A. D., Hildebrand, the Pope elect, has extolled our Order with praise in the sight of the whole Church, lauding our past efforts and dedication thus:
“This same Order, during the ten years that have passed since it existed as a pious association of the faithful under private law, has set an example of true piety to the entire Catholic world, while it has attended to the needs of Catholics and other Christians in Iraq, Syria, the Levant, Ukraine, Italy, Africa, India and the Americas, at its own expense and cost, and in full observance of all local, national and international laws, to the praise of our Holy Faith and of upright men everywhere.”
And in this account, recognizing the needs of the whole Church and all of Christendom to organize the greatest work of mercy, which is the aid and protection of persecuted Christians, into an institution, he has bestowed upon our private association this tremendous honor and canonical status.
While this wondrous favor does not change anything essential in our Montana Corporation — which exists only to serve the members of the Order — it will mean that in the future there will be a greater distinction between the corporate activities of Ordo Militaris Inc. and those of the Supremus Ordo Militaris Catholicus S. Ludovici IX, Regis Cruciati.
For this Montana corporation, as I have said, never was, nor is, nor will be the Order. Nor are its activities those of the Order proper. We will continue to sell merchandise and provide security services of background checks to Catholic organizations and sell memberships for supporters of the Order, but we remain distinct from, in both law and practice, the religious Order, which will have its own Commanderies, Churches, Houses and activities round the world, in accord with local, national and international law.
However, this honor, which is beyond all our merits, does present a moment for each of us with the call to supply the needs of this fledgling Order, as they will have great need of benefactors to provide for their vocations, houses and activities. And being uniquely organized for such a holy work, our Montana stock corporation, which is a for profit corporation dedicated to the aid and defense of persecuted Christians, in the spirit of the Catholic crusaders of old, Ordo Militaris Inc. will dedicate itself to this work.
For that reason, I ask you now each to prayerfully consider to help us undertake one or more of the following works of piety on behalf of the new Order:
- Pledging as an external member: as an external member, our Montana corporation offers you membership services in various honorary ways, in a legal manner through which you can both support our Corporation’s efforts in the works named below and avoid all legal risk, that could possibly arise in other jurisdictions round the world, since our Montana corporation as a member service corporation is not involved in any military services nor constitutes of itself any sort of society, membership in which would otherwise require registration of its members, according to such local laws and prevail in countries like the Republic of France or the Republic of Italy.
- Making a donation or bequest in favor of the Order, through our new Donation Page for the Order
- Promoting vocations to the Order by sharing information, praying for its members etc..
- Discerning a vocation to join the Order as a religious member: Contact our offices for more information!
- Gifting to the Order property through which it can by use or sale raise the funds needed to house its vocations, train them, and organizes its works of mercy. Contact our Offices by phone to speak with our President about further details, leaving a message and your phone number and time of day or week, for a return call.
- Volunteering with our Montana corporation to assist us promoting the above 5 objectives.
As we begin our second decade of existence as a U. S. Corporation, I want to thank you each for your past support which has made this moment possible. May the Lord Jesus Christ, our sovereign King and Savior reward you all with His grace and mercy, for yourselves and your loved ones:
